On Saturday 28th September – we will be taking part in the third edition of The Great Big Walk for Herts along with 12 other charities. With each charity walking a different leg of the Hertfordshire Way, we will complete the circuit (180 miles) in one day and raise vital funds for fantastic local charities that support children & young people across Hertfordshire.

Every year, we provide support to around 8,500 children & young people across the county and the money raised through this walk will allow us to reach more young people that are needing our support.

I now have the ability to recognise and acknowledge when I’m in need of a break and when to speak up if something is no longer serving me. I can put my mental health first

We are looking for enthusiastic walkers to come and join us – could that be you?

The route will be walked in the counter clockwise direction. After leaving Shenley Park Estate we head north then west passing the former site of Harperbury Hospital (1.5 mi), crossing Harper Lane and Watling Street to join the Ver – Colne Valley Walk just south of Colney Street (3.8 mi). We will follow the walk for the next 3 miles turning east at Binghams. Soon afterwards we pick up Leg 8 of Hertfordshire Way (CW direction) through Round Bush (7.8 mi) and Letchworth Heath (8.5 mi) to the finish at The Cafe in The Orchard.
